Adelaide has finalised its playing numbers for Season 2017.

First-round draft pick Jordan Gallucci has received the coveted No.7 jumper at the Crows.

The 18-year-old midfielder is only the third owner of the number at West Lakes behind dual-premiership player Nigel Smart and former captain Nathan van Berlo. Gallucci wore No.7 for TAC Cup team Eastern Ranges and also junior club Lilydale after starting out in the No.14.

Myles Poholke, who was selected with the Club’s second pick in the 2016 National Draft, will wear the No.31. Poholke takes over the number from another midfielder in Jarryd Lyons, who joined Gold Coast in the recent AFL Trade Period

Key-position prospect Elliott Himmelberg has moved into the No.34. The number was most recently worn by Sam Shaw, who retired because of concussion-related symptoms last month. Shaw has beenplaced on Adelaide’s rookie list for administrative purposes in relation to the pending CBA and his access to welfare assistance, but won’t be assigned a number.

Adelaide’s fourth National Draft selection, Matt Signorello, has received No.35. The number became available following third-year Crow Harrison Wigg’s decision to switch to the No.10.

Wigg and defender Jake Kelly, who has taken over No.8, were the only two existing players to change numbers over the offseason.

Forward Ben Davis will don the No.40 for the Club. Davis moves into locker No.40 made vacant following the departure of ruckman Luke Lowden. The jumper was most recently worn in a game for Adelaide by retired fan favourite Jason Porplyzia, who played 130 matches in the guernsey.

Father-son rookie selection Ben Jarman will wear No.45 in his first season at West Lakes. The number was most recently owned by Ricky Henderson, who joined Hawthorn over the offseason. Jarman has the highest number on the playing list following Kelly’s move from No.47 to No.8, and the departure of Keenan Ramsey (No.46).

Crows fans were encouraged to try and predict Adelaide’s new player numbers in a poll on afc.com.au. The winner, who was picked at random and has been notified, has scored a Crows No.7 home jumper signed by the three players to have owned the number: Nigel Smart, Nathan van Berlo and Jordan Gallucci.
