First-round draft pick Jordan Gallucci has become only the third owner of the No.7 at Adelaide.

The No.7 jumper became available for the first time since 2004 following the retirement of respected veteran Nathan van Berlo earlier this year. Van Berlo, who captained the Crows for five years, played 205 AFL games after being recruited from West Perth.

Dual premiership star and three-time All Australian Nigel Smart is the only other player to have worn the coveted No.7 for the Crows. Smart played 270 matches – ranked fifth all-time at Adelaide.

Gallucci wore No.7 for TAC Cup team Eastern Ranges and also junior club Lilydale after starting out in the No.14. The explosive midfielder was selected by the Crows with pick No.15 in Friday night’s National Draft.

In other jumper news, Gallucci’s AIS-AFL Academy teammate Myles Poholke will wear the No.31 while Redlands recruit Elliott Himmelberg has taken over the No.34. Young Crows Jake Kelly and Harrison Wigg were the only existing Crows to change numbers over the break.

The remaining jumper numbers will be revealed on Wednesday afternoon.
