A group of 20 riders and a team of support crew is embarking on a 400km journey to raise funds for The Crows Children’s Foundation.

The 2016 Redline Classic takes riders from Adelaide through the Barossa Valley and has already raised more than 60,000 for the Foundation to help it provide support to children in need.

This year’s Classic is the 6th edition and brings total funds raised to more than $180,000.

Crows Children’s Foundation Manager Louise McDonald thanked the riders and their supporters for their efforts.

“The Redline philosophy is Unity. Mateship. Team. You. which has great synergies with our football club,” McDonald said.

“On behalf of the Foundation and the wider Crows community I wish this year’s participants all the best and thank them for their fundraising efforts.

“To have raised $60,000 already is a fantastic result for the Foundation and the charities and projects we support.”

On Monday the riders will travel from Bicycle Express in the Adelaide CBD to Tanunda, day 2 is a Barossa loop and day 3 is the return trip which finishes at the Watermark Hotel, a total of 400 gruelling kilometres.
